Two monks leaving a temple in Vientiane with their umbrellas for the heat and tropical sun. I edited in multiple layers in Photoshop and Corel Draw on my Wacom tablet.

My interest in photography began in teenage-hood (a very long time ago) with the purchase of a Yashica Lynx 5000E. This was a 35mm rangefinder, which I soon outgrew for a Minolta SRT-101, and then bought a few Minolta models throughout the years. Somewhere along the way, I also purchased a Topcon, a workhorse of a 35mm film camera. Many years later down the road, I bought my first digital camera, and was quite frankly, underwhelmed, and it took me several more years to make the transition to a digital format. I believe it was in 2005, I purchased Sony's Alpha 100, and was pleasantly pleased until I once again outgrew this model, and made the move to Sony's a77. This is a very good DSLR, albeit somewhat hefty with the dual battery pack,...
